Semantic Web and Multimedia group
Semedia is a research group on Semantic Web and Multimedia hosted by the DIBET department at Università Politecnica delle Marche, Ancona ,Italy.
Together with A3Lab, a bigger group working in digital multimedia signal processing, it forms the 3MediaLabs.
On this web site you can find a selection of the publications of the group, updates regarding the activities as well as resources for students that would like to contribute with thesis and projects.

January 2011
On first of January SEMLIB Project officially starts. The kick-off meeting will take place in Pisa on 14-15 of January.
October 2010
The MURUCA project has a new web page: http://www.muruca.org/. The project aims at developing novel open source tools for DLs.
September 2010
The SEMLIB EU project has successfully passed the negotiation phase, we will start shortly to build new tools for Semantic Web Digital Libraries.

June 2010
SEMLIB project, that has been positively evaluated by the european commission is now in negotiation phase. The project is a joint one with Net7, DERI Ireland and other european partners to build semantic web innovative application for Digital Libraries.
The goal is that of evolving DLs adding annotation and recommendation capabilities so to provide novel and powerful tools to scholars and users in general.
